Green Globe is an heirloom variety of Artichoke that produces large, 3 to 5 inch, green heads. Each plant will reach a mature height of anywhere between 3 and 6 feet tall, and will produce a fair yield of 3 to 4 heads through the summer months. Green Globe is ready for harvesting in roughly 120 days. The Green Globe Artichoke is a perennial flowering vegetable. Perennials such as this will establish a deep root system, which will allow the plants to remain dormant during the cooler temperatures of Winter. Green Globe Artichokes will establish new growth each year for at least 5 years, thus producing new crops each year.
