Fragrant, round clusters of small bright carmine-red flowers appear atop the plant over a long season and are complemented by the fleshy, blue-green leaves. Performs in poor, dry soils. Grows well around rocks and masonry. This plant is shown throughout the fictional village of Port Wenn in Cornwall in the BBC show "Doc Martin".
